UX Animation & Motion Design
for Waffle Pay

Waffle Pay is a fintech platform that turns everyday spending into rewards: shop with a virtual card, earn waffles and play games with them for prizes. Their product manager found my work on Dribbble and asked for UX animation and hero illustrations for the new landing page, in the playful spirit of Robinhood.
Instead of the card graphic they had in mind, I proposed a shopping bag full of everyday items, waffle coins and game elements, gently floating. After the first illustration and animation were approved the project grew to seven pieces: an isometric sequence for the three games (Plinko, Crash and Mines), four section illustrations (Spend, Play, Win and a 360° view) and two alternatives. Illustration, motion design and animation in After Effects and Cinema 4D, with Patswerk on the artwork.
These animations live on a landing page, so file size mattered as much as motion: every loop was delivered as a compact MP4, with Lottie as an option where vector output made sense, in several formats for the UI/UX team.
The isometric line art was animated in After Effects; the coins and the rotating diamond were modelled in Cinema 4D and matched back to the flat design. The motion stays subtle: floating items, coins dropping through the Plinko board, buttons pressing in. Similar work: Robinhood and LunarCrush.
