For agency Burness, we created an animation to raise awareness about the barriers women face in gaining secure rights to land and natural resources.
The animation also highlighted proven ways to address these barriers in developing countries. In addition, we provided artwork, logo design, script copywriting, and audio effects to bring this important message to life.
Our goal was to create an engaging and informative animation that would draw attention to this issue and inspire action to address it.
For Burness, Maryland, we created this Animation, Artwork, Logo, Script copywriting and Audio FX. The goal of this animation is to bring attention to the barriers women face in gaining secure rights to land and natural resources, and in benefiting from natural resource investments and related legal and regulatory reforms, as well as showcase proven ways to address these barriers in developing country contexts.

The goal of the video is to showcase the ‘Starting with Women’ approach as a cutting-edge innovation that, if brought to scale, could have a major impact on women’s daily lives, and that or their communities.
In most developing countries, women’s land rights are not secure, and are weaker than those of men. Yet those rights are key to increasing food security, reducing poverty, and mitigating conflict. Current approaches don’t tend to put women at the center of the solution.

Women and girls have untapped potential to transform their communities. Securing women’s land rights benefits women and their communities, leading to higher incomes, increased food production, and higher levels of education.
